Homebase is seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to own the data and systems layer that powers the marketing organization. This is a hands-on, technical role focused on making marketing data accessible, reliable, and actionable. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Data Access: Understand what data every marketer needs, identify gaps, and serve as the front door for rapid delivery. Build self-serve paths for common needs such as segments and audiences, and test implementations end-to-end with Lifecycle and Engineering teams. Pipelines and Integrations: Build and maintain data flows between product and data systems and marketing/ad tools (Iterable, Amplitude, Salesforce, Meta CAPI, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads). Partner with RevOps on Salesforce data flows, ensuring conversion signal quality, identity resolution, and deduplication. Monitoring, Quality, and Documentation: Monitor key data flows and catch problems proactively. Ensure data feeding attribution is accurate. Own data governance, definitions, naming conventions, UTM standards, playbooks, and intake processes. Marketing Systems and Enablement: Serve as technical owner of the marketing stack. Resolve lifecycle and advertising requests directly. Implement tags for new channels and partners. Use AI for documentation, QA, anomaly detection, and workflow automation. Project Ownership: Own projects end-to-end. Plan ahead with Lifecycle so Engineering inputs are identified early. Recommend simplifying redundant tools as the stack evolves. You will work daily with Growth, Lifecycle, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Product teams. This role requires someone who is comfortable with integration work, uses AI to change how work gets done, and can translate between technical and non-technical colleagues while building trust with both. The role is not a fit if you prefer a clean, fully documented environment with a large team from day one; if your strength is building and launching campaigns rather than the data and systems underneath; or if you prefer to hand off technical work and manage others rather than build it yourself. Requirements: - 5 to 8 years in marketing operations, marketing technology, go-to-market engineering, or marketing data roles - Track record of building connectors, pipelines, or processes that make product and engineering data usable by marketing - Strong SQL and comfort with APIs, webhooks, and event schemas; scripting (Python or JavaScript) is a plus - Experience with lifecycle and automation tools (Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, HubSpot, Marketo), event or CDP tools (Amplitude, Segment), and data warehouse platforms - Working knowledge of pixels, tags, UTMs, ad platform conversion APIs, and identity resolution - AI fluency: active use of AI in real work or clear ability to describe how you would apply it and verify results - Strong collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical and non-technical colleagues - Self-starter who can inherit a messy environment, make a plan, and execute independently Nice to have: paid acquisition data experience, exposure to Hotjar or AI search visibility tools such as Profound, go-to-market engineering background.
