Monday.com, an AI work platform used by 250,000+ customers, is seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Manager to own and evolve the technology, architecture, and operating infrastructure behind Lifecycle Marketing.
This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role at the intersection of lifecycle marketing, marketing technology, data, and AI. You will own how lifecycle platforms are structured and scaled, while building systems that enable teams across the company to safely and independently execute campaigns, in-app experiences, and automated flows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Platform Architecture & Operations: Own the architecture, governance, and health of lifecycle marketing platforms with Braze at the center. Define scalable structures for campaigns, audiences, events, attributes, templates, channels, permissions, and integrations. Establish standards for QA, suppression logic, overlap management, and platform governance. Partner with Data and Engineering to ensure the right events, attributes, integrations, and behavioral signals are available for targeting and personalization.
Business Enablement & Self-Service: Build the operating model enabling teams to independently create and launch campaigns and automated flows. Develop reusable templates, components, audience frameworks, and guardrails. Design permissions, approval processes, and governance balancing autonomy with quality. Create documentation and training allowing partners to use the platform effectively without relying on Lifecycle for every execution.
Platform Migration & Transformation: Lead migration of existing lifecycle programs from legacy platforms into the new ecosystem. Assess existing flows and determine what should be migrated, redesigned, consolidated, or retired. Establish migration standards and reusable patterns. Ensure continuity and measurement while improving underlying architecture. Partner across teams to manage dependencies and drive adoption.
AI & Agentic Campaign Operations: Lead evolution toward AI-powered and agentic campaign creation. Identify where campaign creation, audience building, content assembly, QA, and deployment can be automated. Build workflows reducing repetitive manual execution while maintaining appropriate human judgment. Evaluate new AI and marketing technology capabilities.
Operational Excellence: Identify bottlenecks, capability gaps, and unnecessary manual work. Build visibility into campaign activity and platform usage. Establish standards and best practices enabling scale without proportional complexity increase. Act as senior technical partner translating marketing needs into scalable solutions.
SUCCESS METRICS
Teams can safely build and launch more lifecycle experiences independently without creating bottlenecks. Legacy flows are thoughtfully migrated into cleaner, more scalable architecture. Braze and the lifecycle stack have clear architecture, governance, and reusable building blocks. Campaign creation becomes increasingly automated with humans focused on strategy. Operational complexity doesn't grow proportionally with lifecycle activity growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing technology, CRM, marketing automation, or marketing operations, ideally within high-growth SaaS or technology companies
- Deep hands-on experience with Braze or comparable sophisticated customer engagement platform (Braze experience highly preferred)
- Experience owning or significantly influencing marketing automation architecture, not only executing campaigns within existing setups
- Experience building self-service marketing capabilities enabling non-technical or distributed teams to execute within defined guardrails
- Experience with platform migrations, large-scale flow or campaign migrations, or significant marketing technology transformations
- Strong understanding of lifecycle orchestration, segmentation, personalization, experimentation, triggers, and cross-channel experiences
- Strong technical fluency with events, attributes, data structures, APIs, integrations, and permissions
- Experience partnering directly with Data and Engineering
- Experience designing scalable processes and automation reducing manual campaign production
- Practical experience applying AI or automation to marketing workflows (highly valuable)
- Ability to operate independently as senior IC: identifying problems, defining solutions, making decisions, and driving implementation without detailed direction
- Experience with Liquid, SQL, HTML/CSS, APIs, or similar technical capabilities (strong advantage)
