Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and advance commercial space launch. The Launch team operates at the intersection of all major rocket systems—stages, payloads, ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment—with operations centered at Cape Canaveral, where first flights and reusability milestones happen. As Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Test & Launch Structures, you will own the manufacturing and integration strategy for launch-critical structural systems. You'll work closely with Test and Launch design engineers to evaluate and implement optimal manufacturing solutions, leading fabrication and integration efforts while coordinating with third-party vendors. Your responsibilities include full ownership of integration processes, collaboration with cross-functional teams (fluids, civil, electrical, mechanical), and development of effective integration strategies that meet design tolerances. You will select fabrication techniques and processes to achieve tight tolerances, provide design-for-manufacturability input, and approve designs for production feasibility. This role offers exposure across the entire launch operation—from structural builds and precision tooling to ground support equipment, lifting/rigging, proof testing, and in-field fabrication techniques including welding, line boring, match drilling, and metrology. You bring 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on structural builds, precision tooling, or ground support equipment. You have hands-on knowledge of in-field fabrication techniques and full or partial life-cycle ownership of small-to-large structural projects. CAD proficiency (NX, Creo, Solidworks, CATIA) is required. A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience is essential.
