As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Impulse, you will own all aspects of spacecraft component manufacturing, from product inception through high-volume production. Your responsibilities include designing and setting up advanced CNC machining cells, developing processes for prototype, test, and flight hardware (including tank skins, vehicle structures, and large aluminum components), and iterating designs for manufacturability in collaboration with design and development teams.
You will work with industry-standard CAM software including NX, MasterCam, HSM Works, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, and Hypermill, with the expectation of rapidly mastering new tools as needed. Key technical competencies include expertise with 5-axis mills and routers, manual and CNC mills and lathes, and the ability to manage complex tool libraries. You will resolve technical manufacturing challenges with innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement in in-house production capabilities.
