Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. This role focuses on orchestrating the industrialization of Omen, a critical product, from current rate to high-volume deployment.
You will own the entire manufacturing value chain, spanning design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback, tool design and selection, high-rate production line creation and optimization, strategic vendor partnerships, quality assurance, and build process documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute manufacturing of products from initial prototyping through large-scale production
- Work with design engineers to drive DFM best practices and facilitate transitions from design to prototype to rate production
- Act as manufacturing liaison for mechanical fabrication and avionics with subject matter expertise in design for manufacturability
- Own documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale (MBOMs, work instructions, requirements)
- Advise on quality management and business application programs
- Collaborate with internal customers and manufacturing planning teams on capacity planning
- Analyze metrics for continuous improvement (cost reduction, quality improvement, capacity increase)
- Instill a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the manufacturing engineering team
- Develop production and test methodologies to enable scaling for larger, more complex products
- Travel to suppliers and partner sites for sourcing, problem-solving, and process implementation
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or hard science) preferred
- 4+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware
- Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments
- World-class mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication
- Genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning
- Flexibility and dedication to work extended hours and weekends when required by critical business priorities
- Regular travel between various locations is essential
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to aircraft programs or relevant aerospace & defense technologies
- Software scripting experience in any language
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards
