Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems for global connectivity, protection, and deep-space exploration. The Manufacturing Engineering team powers Rocket Lab's factories, turning early concepts into manufacturable designs and optimizing production systems for quality, cost, and speed.
You'll join as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer across one or more of four key disciplines: Assembly & Integration (mechanical, assembly, propulsion, mechanical test); Avionics & Test (electronics manufacturing, electrical test, debugging); Composites (advanced materials, resins, ablatives, sandwich structures); or Machining (CNC programming, precision manufacturing, GD&T).
In this role, you'll own complex products in production as the go-to expert, driving teams to hit production targets while maintaining top quality. You'll execute product improvements and design qualifications, lead root cause analysis on failures, and disposition non-conformances on flight hardware using engineering judgment and risk assessment. You'll bridge production, quality, supply chain, and design engineering for rapid problem-solving.
You'll also optimize manufacturing processes and systems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to scaling production as Rocket Lab accelerates build rates. This is a hands-on role where you'll directly impact the hardware that reaches orbit and beyond.
