CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead and scale recruiting efforts across Europe from the Munich office. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will partner with U.S.-based Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to align European hiring activities, processes, and operating standards with CesiumAstro's broader talent strategy. You will build, lead, and develop a high-performing recruiting team to support rapid growth in Munich and across Europe. You will own full-cycle recruiting for critical positions spanning specialized engineering, technical, operations, and business roles.
Key responsibilities include developing targeted sourcing strategies and talent pipelines across Europe for highly specialized professionals in aerospace, satellite communications, RF systems, electronics, embedded systems, hardware, and software. You will partner with executives, hiring managers, and technical leaders to define position requirements, develop candidate profiles, establish interview strategies, and drive hiring decisions. You will establish and scale recruiting infrastructure, resources, and capabilities as hiring demand grows.
You will also build CesiumAstro's employer presence within the German and European aerospace and advanced technology markets through relationships with universities, technical institutions, professional organizations, industry networks, and talent communities. A critical part of the role is delivering a high-quality candidate experience that reflects CesiumAstro's culture, mission, technical ambition, and growth trajectory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field with minimum 9 years of related experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Resources, workforce planning, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of leadership or management experience leading Talent Acquisition professionals, recruiting teams, or significant recruiting initiatives
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing recruiting strategies in a high-growth or rapidly scaling organization
- Significant experience recruiting specialized engineering and technical talent
- Strong understanding of the German talent market and demonstrated ability to recruit across Germany and broader European market
- Knowledge of applicable German and European recruiting, employment, candidate data privacy, and recordkeeping requirements
- Expertise in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategy, talent pipeline development, candidate assessment, workforce planning, and talent acquisition program management
- Advanced analytical judgment in interpreting recruiting metrics, pipeline health, source effectiveness, hiring forecasts, and workforce trends
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate organizational objectives and workforce requirements into actionable recruiting strategies
- Ability to operate effectively in a startup environment where strategy development and hands-on execution are equally important
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday Recruiting, iCIMS, or similar platforms
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to partner effectively with executives, technical leaders, hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues across multiple locations and time zones
- Professional proficiency in English required; German language proficiency strongly preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience within space, aerospace, defense, satellite, RF, electronics, telecommunications, or advanced technology environment
- Experience building a new office, business unit, geographic market, or technical organization
