Ursa Major Technologies, a defense and aerospace propulsion company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Agenda to own the long-range strategic planning function. This senior individual contributor and player-coach role builds scenarios, market models, and value cases that translate the company's multi-year vision into executable plans on an 18-month-plus horizon.
You will own the Regional Strategic Meeting, multi-year thesis development, scenario and market modeling, Quarterly Business Reviews, and the strategy behind the planning toolset. Working across Programs, Business Development, Finance, Engineering, and Operations, you will ensure the annual plan aligns with Ursa Major's long-term direction as the company scales. This role is the long-range counterpart to the Senior Manager, Integrated Business Process—same level and rigor, different horizon. You will report to the Director, Planning & SIOP and lead one Strategy Analyst as a direct report.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the Regional Strategic Meeting and multi-year thesis end-to-end, including agenda, inputs, and direction beyond the fiscal year
- Recommending mid- and long-term priorities and targets, analyzing which competing priorities merit investment
- Owning the Quarterly Business Review to keep the annual plan aligned with the thesis without reopening the Annual Operating Plan
- Owning the Week-1 portfolio and product review for R&D, IRAD, and pipeline capacity assessment
- Building and maintaining scenarios that test the plan against different demand, capacity, and investment futures
- Modeling the market Ursa Major serves—TAM, SAM, SOM, share of wallet, and demand environment—as quantified planning inputs
- Owning the strategic customer value proposition and its link to customer outcomes including NPS
- Maintaining the external view of competitive landscape, market, and customer trends, translating into long-range plan implications
- Owning the rolling 18-month-plus planning horizon and any planning horizons beyond the current year
- Building and maintaining long-range KPI frameworks and dashboards in Power BI or equivalent
- Sponsoring the planning-tool and platform roadmap, partnering with IT/Engineering on ERP and planning-platform evolution
- Evaluating and implementing AI/ML-enabled forecasting and decision-support tooling
- Keeping strategy and out-year planning integrated with the Integrated Business Process cadence
- Supporting the Director and Finance on out-year plan and Annual Operating Plan builds
- Supporting change management and cascading long-range priorities across a multi-site, multi-program organization
- Owning planning methodology documentation and driving continuous improvement using Lean-based methods
- Leading and developing the Strategy Analyst direct report
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week on-site at the Berthoud, Colorado facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

- Demonstrated experience building long-range plans, scenario models, and analysis behind executive-level strategic decisions
- Strong command of integrated planning mechanics—demand, supply, capacity, and financial reconciliation connecting volume to revenue
- Strong quantitative modeling and business-intelligence skills: market sizing, demand modeling, scenario analysis, and KPI/reporting frameworks in Power BI or equivalent
- Proven ability to translate operational and financial data into clear, decision-ready narratives for executive audiences
- Ability to build cross-functional consensus without direct authority; comfortable working with technical, operational, and Finance stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications or training in supply chain or operations (APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP) and/or project or product management (PMP, CSPO, or CSM)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
