Twilio is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager to lead indirect procurement across multiple categories including Software, Sales & Marketing, External Workforce, Professional Services, HR, Events, and Travel. This role combines strategic vendor management with hands-on procurement execution.
Key responsibilities include developing cost-saving strategies through vendor sourcing and consolidation, partnering with internal stakeholders to build sourcing pipelines and supplier strategies, and staying current with industry trends to inform pricing and supplier optimization recommendations. You will lead complex contract negotiations with new and existing suppliers to achieve lowest total cost of ownership while balancing business priorities, and continuously monitor supplier performance against SLAs.
The role requires managing RFI/RFP processes, coordinating reviews across business, compliance, security, and legal teams, and driving the full bid-to-award-to-execution cycle. You'll influence internal stakeholders on procurement decisions, adapt to support additional categories as needed, and deliver complex Source-to-Pay (S2P) improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or Operations with 7+ years in senior procurement roles. You must demonstrate expertise in category strategy development, complex contract negotiation, financial analysis, and best-in-class procurement processes including category management, benchmarking, should-cost modeling, RFX, and reverse auctions. Strong analytical skills, KPI measurement capabilities, and experience developing scorecards and QBR processes are essential.
