You will lead a high-impact engineering team within the Growth organization, responsible for driving user acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives for customer-facing products. This is a hands-on management role that requires active technical participation alongside team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical strategy and actively participate in the development lifecycle, coding and architecting solutions alongside your team
- Champion an "AI-first" engineering culture, integrating Claude Code and other LLM tools into daily workflows to accelerate experimentation and product velocity
- Partner with product and data teams to define technical roadmaps aligned with acquisition and retention goals
- Build scalable, reliable systems using React, TypeScript, and AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS)
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-potential engineers, balancing human-led mentorship with AI-augmented professional development
- Maintain high observability and stability standards, ensuring experiments and features meet rigorous quality benchmarks
- Foster collaborative in-person team environment in Palo Alto office (Monday-Wednesday on-site requirement)
This role sits at the intersection of growth engineering, AI-native development practices, and hands-on technical leadership. You will drive both team velocity and code quality while scaling customer-facing products.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of formal engineering management experience leading a team of engineers
- Proven expertise in full-stack development with React, TypeScript, and AWS
- Demonstrated ability to leverage LLM-integrated agents (specifically Claude Code) to improve software development lifecycle speed and code quality
- Proven track record delivering customer-facing SaaS products with focus on metrics-driven growth, conversion, and user experience
- Strong communication skills to distill complex technical and AI-related trade-offs into actionable plans for leadership and cross-functional partners
