Salary: USD 216,500 - 264,500 / annual
Metropolis Technologies is pioneering the Recognition Economy, using AI to transform everyday experiences in parking, retail, and hospitality. The company is seeking a Senior Manager to lead a Customer Experience application development team through a significant growth phase.
In this role, you will manage a distributed engineering team (10+ people) and be responsible for executing a multi-year vision for customer-facing product offerings. You'll work closely with Product Management, Data Science, and User Research to build an end-to-end mobility platform impacting millions of users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing strategy for developing customer-facing applications in partnership with Product Management
- Establishing processes for operational excellence, system reliability, and rapid experimentation
- Coaching and developing your engineering team to drive performance and professional growth
- Hiring top talent and setting cultural standards within the engineering organization
- Fostering collaboration to nurture and execute on the best product and technical ideas
- Managing delivery of high-impact workflow, dashboard, and data visualization applications
- Promoting customer-oriented mindset across the broader organization
Required qualifications: 5+ years of management experience and 10+ years of software development building customer-centric applications. You should have experience scaling and supporting 10+ person teams, executing initiatives with strategic business impact, and successfully collaborating cross-functionally in B2C and B2B environments. Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems for high-volume consumer applications is essential.
The tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Scala, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS, GitHub, Datadog, and AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
