Kaseya is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) to lead quality engineering and test automation efforts supporting endpoint management, device management, and enterprise SaaS platform solutions.
You will manage SDET and automation engineering teams, drive quality strategy, define test architecture, expand automated validation capabilities, and ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and highly reliable software. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining engineering expertise with people management.
Key responsibilities include:
**Leadership & Team Management**: Lead and manage teams of SDETs, automation engineers, and technical leads. Build, mentor, and develop engineering talent while fostering accountability, quality ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Drive hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management. Establish quality engineering best practices, standards, and metrics.
**Quality Strategy & Execution**: Define and execute the organization's quality engineering vision, test automation roadmap, and validation strategy. Partner with Engineering, Product, Support, Operations, and Security teams. Drive improvements across Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release readiness. Create measurable quality objectives and reporting mechanisms for senior leadership.
**Test Automation & Platform Validation**: Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks supporting functional, integration, regression, performance, and system-level validation. Oversee automated validation of endpoint agents, management workflows, patching, monitoring, and communications. Build reusable infrastructure for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile environments. Drive large-scale regression testing strategies.
**Operating Systems & Endpoint Technologies**: Ensure validation of endpoint agent behavior across supported operating systems and major versions. Oversee testing for OS upgrades, endpoint recovery, disconnected operations, and device lifecycle management. Validate interoperability with OS services, security frameworks, and device management technologies including Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, and Linux platforms.
**Technical Leadership**: Participate in architecture and design reviews. Partner with engineering teams to identify testability improvements and quality risks early. Drive root-cause analysis for production issues and implement automated safeguards. Support troubleshooting through log analysis, telemetry, and distributed system investigation.
**AI-Powered Quality Engineering**: Champion adoption of AI coding assistants and automation tools. Leverage AI for test generation, code analysis, debugging, and coverage expansion. Establish best practices for validating AI-generated test assets. Drive continuous innovation in AI-assisted quality practices.
In your first year, you will build and scale a high-performing SDET organization, increase automated test coverage, improve release quality and stability, establish modern AI-assisted quality engineering practices, strengthen cross-team collaboration, and create measurable improvements in quality metrics and engineering productivity.
