Sardine is a leading agentic risk platform for fighting financial crime, offering integrated solutions for fraud prevention, compliance, and risk infrastructure. The company serves major clients including FIS, GoDaddy, Intuit, Edward Jones, ZoomInfo, and Checkout.com, and operates with a remote-first culture across hubs in the Bay Area, NYC, Austin, Toronto, and São Paulo.
As Senior Manager of Quality Engineering, you will own end-to-end QA strategy across Sardine's platform and customer-facing delivery, leading a globally distributed QA team spanning web, mobile, and manual testing. Your primary responsibilities include establishing and maintaining quality governance standards appropriate for regulated financial institutions—including documented test plans, coverage metrics, release gates, and audit-ready evidence. You will partner closely with Engineering, Professional Services, and customers to ensure every product change and bank integration is correct, well-documented, and formally accepted.
Key responsibilities include owning incident response for quality-related issues (triage, root cause analysis, prevention, and communication), strengthening test automation and CI/release gating for a real-time, high-throughput platform, supporting UAT and structured acceptance testing for bank and enterprise deployments, and shaping engineering culture to uphold high quality standards across the organization.
You bring 8+ years in software quality with 2+ years managing QA or Quality Engineering teams. You have hands-on experience owning quality in regulated domains (banking, payments, fintech) and are familiar with audit, UAT, and documented test governance. You possess strong quality engineering fundamentals including test automation (Cypress or similar), CI/CD gating, and coverage measurement, balanced with structured manual and exploratory testing. You have a proven track record building high-performing, distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures, and you approach quality through a metrics-driven lens, defining and reporting on quality KPIs.
The company offers generous compensation in cash and equity, early exercise for all options, flexible PTO, health/dental/vision coverage, 401k/RRSP matching, MacBook Pro, home office stipend, monthly meal and social stipends, annual wellness and learning stipends, and a remote-first work culture.
