Prove is seeking a Senior Manager of Platform Engineering to lead two critical teams based in Ireland: Platform Developer Enablement and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, driving the company's transition toward greater platform maturity.
The role bridges high-level strategy and day-to-day execution, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly. Prove has standardized its technology stack and is now entering a new phase focused on developer self-service, extreme reliability, and advanced observability.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing two teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will set clear goals, hire and develop top talent, and mentor engineering managers to build a high-performing organization. You'll define the platform roadmap, aligning technical investments with business objectives and broader technology strategy.
You will oversee the design and operation of the platform to meet the needs of product teams and internal stakeholders, driving architectural evolution to ensure the platform remains scalable, resilient, and secure. Establish and maintain rigorous SLOs, with a target of 99.999% internal reliability. Implement advanced observability, monitoring, and logging frameworks using OpenTelemetry instrumentation standards.
Key focus areas include unified platform strategy, internal developer platform (IDP) development to enable self-service infrastructure, reliability and SRE excellence with clear incident management processes, process standardization and documentation, and company-wide observability standards. Partner with product management, security, and other engineering leaders to translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities, acting as a key stakeholder in cross-functional initiatives.
