Natel Energy is seeking a Senior Manager of Public Affairs to lead the company's regulatory strategy and commercial expansion across Europe and Canada. Reporting to the VP of External Affairs, you will operate at the intersection of public policy, government relations, and account-based marketing for a climate-tech company specializing in FishSafe™ hydropower turbines designed for high fish survival and grid decarbonization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct global policy analysis and regulatory research for Europe, Canada, and other non-US geographies. Identify market entry barriers, government incentives, and compliance standards to inform strategic expansion.
- Represent Natel directly with regulators, ministries, agencies, and elected officials in Europe and Canada. Build relationships with policymakers and lead participation in consultations, rulemakings, standards processes, and industry coalitions.
- Manage country-specific policy consultants and lobbyists in France, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, and Canada. Set scope, priorities, and deliverables; coordinate work into coherent regulatory strategy.
- Advise on strategic direction for market expansion by applying regulatory and legislative analysis to support long-term and short-term growth decisions.
- Translate policy incentives (e.g., EU green subsidies) into high-impact sales-enablement content including ROI visualizations, one-pagers, digital ads, and slide decks.
- Set Account-Based Marketing strategy for Europe and Canada in partnership with the commercial and marketing teams. Design bespoke campaigns targeting strategic accounts with material addressing specific regulatory tradeoffs and economic constraints.
- Own conference strategy, abstract submissions, and Natel's presence at key industry events in Europe and Canada.

- "Doer" mentality comfortable in lean environments where you conduct research, take meetings, build decks, and launch campaigns
