Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager, M&A Finance Integration to lead the finance function's role in mergers and acquisitions, from letter of intent through Day 1 readiness and post-close execution. You will also own the program management of Anthropic's growing legal entity footprint. This is a build-and-run opportunity reporting to the Director, M&A Finance Integration. You will be the day-to-day operator of the M&A Finance Integration program, scoping and driving the finance integration plan for each deal, coordinating finance workstreams alongside Corporate Development, Legal, and People functions, and serving as connective tissue between deal teams and executing functions. Key responsibilities include: **Deal Integration Planning & Execution:** Scope and own the finance integration plan for each transaction across all phases (LOI, due diligence, signing, sign-to-close, Day 90+), tailoring plans to integration models (full integration vs. standalone subsidiary). Run the integration operating rhythm with workstream check-ins, issue logs, risk registers, RACI matrices, decision logs, and status reporting. Negotiate deliverables and trade-offs with functional leads; escalate conflicts to the Director with recommendations. **Day 1 Readiness & Post-Close Execution:** Drive Finance Day 1 readiness including bank account control, payroll cutover, AP/AR continuity, ERP entity setup, chart-of-accounts mapping, and expense policy communication. Run Day 1 checklists and 30/60/90-day follow-through. Coordinate closing spreadsheets, net working capital mechanics, and post-close true-ups with Corporate Development, Legal, and Technical Accounting. Serve as primary finance contact for target finance teams and integration leads. Scope and manage external advisor engagements. **Stakeholder Management & Communication:** Act as credible counterpart to Corporate Development, finance functional leads, and target finance leadership. Communicate integration and entity status through dashboards and briefings. Mentor team members and contractors as the function grows. Handle confidential deal information with discipline. **Legal Entity Lifecycle Program Management:** Build and run end-to-end entity setup processes (decision documentation, incorporation, tax registrations, banking, ERP creation, functional-currency assessment, payroll/EOR bridges, statutory/compliance calendars) for US and international entities. Own entity wind-down processes including customer/vendor off-boarding, final payroll, employee transfers, account closure, intercompany settlement, and final filings. Design and maintain entity tracker with per-entity, per-workstream implications and status. **Playbook, Templates & Infrastructure:** Build and own the Legal Entity Playbook covering entity formation, migration, and wind-down for acquired entities and newly formed subsidiaries. Own and maintain sections of the modular M&A Finance Integration Playbook with per-function deliverables, SOPs, and template library. Lead post-deal retrospectives and drive changes into playbooks and templates. Identify and implement tooling and automation, including AI-assisted solutions, for recurring program work. **Requirements:** Minimum qualifications: - Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least two finance integration projects or entity setup projects, from planning through post-close execution, including project plan ownership and executive reporting - Working accounting fluency across close calendar, chart of accounts, intercompany, statutory reporting, purchase accounting fundamentals, and finance implications of common deal structures (asset vs. stock, acquihire vs. strategic, full integration vs. standalone) - Strong program-management capability: comfortable scoping ambiguous work, owning multiple parallel workstreams, and managing to milestones without extensive oversight - Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) in an acquisition and migration context - Cross-functional credibility with Legal, Tax, People, Corporate Development, and Finance sub-functions, with ability to drive outcomes across competing timelines and risk tolerances - Comfort operating under deal-environment time pressure and confidentiality, with sound judgment when processes are being defined in real time - Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to distill complex operational issues into clear, decision-ready briefings Preferred qualifications: - 10+ years in finance, accounting, or finance operations, with at least 3 years running cross-functional programs at a high-growth technology company, with focus in M&A integration or legal entity programs - Have built or significantly contributed to a finance integration playbook, template library, or integration management office infrastructure from scratch - International entity experience: new-jurisdiction setup, statutory audit and local GAAP obligations, employer-of-record bridges, transfer pricing and intercompany agreements - Experience with standalone-subsidiary integration models, consolidation bridges, and equity-method investments - Active user of AI tools in own workflow and excited to push program management toward automation - CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CA qualification - Genuine excitement about AI safety and alignment with Anthropic's mission to build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role.
