We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our growing Finance team and support our general ledger accounting function. This role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to bring structure and process improvements to our accounting operations as we scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Own assigned areas of the financial statements, ensuring balances are accurate and well-documented
- Partner with the broader Finance team to resolve accounting questions and support financial reporting and audits
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, documentation, and controls as the business scales
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Team members are expected to work from the San Francisco office three full days per week, with remaining days worked remotely. You will be expected to maintain availability during agreed working hours and sufficient overlap with the team's time zone.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in general ledger accounting, with hands-on ownership of month-end close activities and account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through with ability to manage competing priorities
- Collaborative and proactive approach with comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate for this hybrid role
