Suno is the world's fastest-growing consumer entertainment platform and leader in AI music, backed by top-tier investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA Ventures. The company enables millions of users—from grandmothers to Grammy winners—to create music and express themselves in entirely new ways.
As Senior Manager of IT Operations, you will lead Suno's corporate IT function across four US offices (Cambridge, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles). You'll manage a team of IT Engineers and build out the IT Help Desk, owning all aspects of IT service delivery and infrastructure.
Your team's responsibilities span identity and access management (Okta, SSO, SCIM, IGA automation), endpoint management (Mac fleet, MDM, zero-touch enrollment, device trust), collaboration software (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, SaaS portfolio), office A/V and conferencing, corporate networking (wired, wireless, WAN across four sites), Tailscale zero-trust networking, and IT service delivery via an AI-powered ITSM platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing IT Engineers with clear expectations, direct feedback, 1:1s, and performance conversations; growing people on the individual contributor track
- Building and defining the IT Help Desk service model, writing job profiles, and hiring the service desk team
- Owning quarterly operational plans with clear ownership of each functional area by a named engineer
- Running change management effectively: sizing changes, ensuring communication, managing rollbacks, and bringing in partners early
- Scaling service delivery through runbooks, knowledge articles, AI-powered self-service deflection, and automation
- Managing vendors and partners (MSPs, network/A/V integrators, EDR/MDR providers, SaaS vendors)
- Leading IT for the West Coast, owning the SF office directly, overseeing LA coverage, and partnering with Facilities on buildouts and expansions
You'll be the senior IT presence on the West Coast and will partner closely with Operations, People, Finance, Security, and Engineering. Success is measured through your team's impact: establishing clear ownership, delivering top-notch service, and leveraging AI and automation to scale efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Haves:
- 10+ years in IT, including 3+ years managing IT engineers, a help desk, or an IT operations team at a high-growth company
- Proven track record building a support function from the ground up (not inheriting one); ability to discuss service model, SLAs, staffing, and deflection strategies you've implemented
- Working knowledge across the full IT stack: identity management (Okta or equivalent, SCIM, IGA), Apple-first endpoint management, Google Workspace and Slack administration, office networking and A/V, and zero-trust networking (Tailscale or comparable); deep enough to set priorities, review team work credibly, and ask the right questions
- Strong people leadership: experience hiring, coaching, giving hard feedback, and managing performance across multiple offices and time zones
- Clear written communication for executive, business, and technical audiences
- Sound judgment under growth: ability to distinguish one-way doors from two-way doors, move fast on reversible decisions, and slow down on consequential ones
Nice-to-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with Okta, SCIM provisioning, and IGA tooling (Lumos, SailPoint, Saviynt, or comparable)
- Modern Apple MDM (Iru, Jamf, Jumpcloud) and endpoint security partnerships (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Expel, or similar)
- Tailscale or another zero-trust network layer in production; ACL design, device posture, SSO integration
- ITSM design experience: intake, categorization, SLAs, reporting from scratch; AI-powered self-service a plus
- Experience running IT through multi-office expansion: new sites, floor expansions, integrators, and vendors
- Early IT leadership at a company that grew from hundreds to a thousand employees
Additional Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the US
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to lead team members and support offices across Suno locations, with deliberate cadence in Cambridge and NYC during the first six months
- Expected to work from the designated Suno office 5 days per week per company policy
