CodeSignal is a skills platform trusted by leading companies like Netflix, Capital One, Meta, and Dropbox. The company has been recognized as one of the World's Top EdTech Companies by TIME magazine and ranked #2 in Education on Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies list.
You will serve as the strategic finance partner to CodeSignal's executive team and go-to-market organization (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, RevOps). Reporting to the VP of Finance & Operations, you will own how the company forecasts, plans, and measures business performance. This includes the operating model, annual planning, quota setting, and the dashboards leadership uses to make decisions. You'll turn data into clear recommendations on where to invest, how to grow, and how to do it efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
**Forecasting, Planning & Modeling:** Own the company's operating model and rolling forecast for revenue, headcount, opex, cash, and key SaaS metrics. Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle and quarterly re-forecasts with leadership and department heads. Build models supporting product launches, pricing changes, and new GTM motions. Deliver monthly budget-vs-actuals and variance analysis. Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform hiring plans, investment decisions, and runway planning.
**GTM & Revenue Partnership:** Partner with Sales, CS, and RevOps on targets, quota setting, territory and capacity planning, and compensation plan design. Track pipeline health, conversion, and bookings to improve topline projections. Own and report on core SaaS metrics. Model the impact of deal structures, discounting, and multi-year agreements on revenue and cash.
**Executive Reporting & Insights:** Design and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for the executive team and department leaders. Prepare financial content for board meetings and investor updates, including KPI packages, plan-vs-actual narratives, and forward-looking outlooks. Translate complex analysis into concise recommendations that drive decisions.
**Business Operations, Process & Systems:** Partner with Accounting to keep close, headcount, and planning data in sync. Own headcount planning and tracking alongside People Ops. Improve FP&A tooling and data infrastructure (planning software, BI tools, CRM and ERP integrations). Document planning processes and build scalable, repeatable workflows as the company grows.
This role suits a builder equally comfortable in three-statement models and pipeline reviews, who thrives in ambiguity, and wants a real seat at the table in a scaling AI/SaaS company.
**Requirements:**
- 6–10+ years in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Business Finance, including 3+ years at a B2B SaaS company
- Track record of owning a company-level operating model and leading annual planning end to end
- Direct experience partnering with Sales and GTM leaders on quota setting, capacity planning, and pipeline-based forecasting
- Experience preparing board-level materials and presenting to executives
- Growth-stage (Series B–D) experience preferred, where you've built process rather than inherited it
- Expert-level financial modeling in Excel or Google Sheets, with deep understanding of three statements and SaaS unit economics
- Strong data skills: comfortable with BI and visualization tools and pulling data from CRM (Salesforce) and ERP systems; SQL is a strong plus but not required
- Experience with FP&A or planning platforms is a plus
- Excellent communicator who can tell the story behind the numbers to finance and non-finance audiences
- Highly detail-oriented with sound business judgment and ability to balance rigor with speed
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and owning outcomes in a fully remote environment
- Investment banking, valuation, or Big 4 advisory experience is a plus
