Snowflake is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Engineering Systems AI Developer Experience (DevEx) team, a critical group responsible for transforming how code is written, reviewed, and deployed across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of developer productivity and AI-native workflows, tasked with reinventing Snowflake's software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the agentic era.
As manager, you will lead and grow a team of engineers building next-generation developer tooling and workflows. Key responsibilities include: establishing team vision and roadmap for SDLC transformation; driving measurable improvements in code review latency and developer velocity; ensuring engineers have access to cutting-edge AI models and development harnesses; creating "golden paths" for agentic codebases; maintaining operational excellence including on-call health, incident response, and postmortems; and balancing project delivery with ongoing maintenance.
You will act as a clarity agent in a fast-moving space, making high-quality decisions quickly while keeping pace with industry developments in AI-assisted engineering. Success requires strong people leadership, roadmap ownership, and hands-on technical judgment to align cross-functional stakeholders and secure buy-in for ambitious initiatives.
Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading technical engineering teams. You should have demonstrated hands-on experience with modern AI productivity tools, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a pragmatic, customer-obsessed mindset focused on measurable impact. Experience with developer productivity tooling, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and CI/test platform modernization is highly valued.
