Salary: USD 198,050 - 233,000 / annual

Oura is seeking a Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical engineering team in developing core electronics for next-generation wearable devices. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will define electrical architecture, design, performance, and reliability standards for Oura's product line. Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of electrical engineers while fostering technical excellence and innovation. You will architect electrical systems for wearable devices, including power management, sensor integration, communication interfaces, and signal processing. Your role encompasses driving technical excellence to meet performance targets, reliability standards, and regulatory requirements. You will oversee power system design and optimization to maximize battery life and efficiency—critical for wearable devices. Cross-functional collaboration is essential; you'll work closely with Product Design, Firmware, Software, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall product ecosystem. Additional responsibilities include defining and overseeing electrical testing and validation plans, identifying and mitigating potential electrical design risks, and managing relationships with external vendors and suppliers for electrical components and services. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience managing electrical engineering teams with significant focus on embedded systems and low-power design, preferably in high-volume consumer electronics or wearables. Deep expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power management, and sensor integration is required. You should have proven experience with testing and validation methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and significant experience working with overseas manufacturing partners. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams are essential, along with a strategic mindset and passion for innovative, high-quality products.
