Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Manager of Configuration Management to lead and scale the Configuration Management function within the Hardware Platform organization. This role involves building and managing a high-performing team of Configuration Management Analysts and Managers across multiple product lines, owning the strategy, standards, and roadmap for configuration management practices across Anduril's hardware programs.
Key responsibilities include driving the design and continuous improvement of engineering change management processes (ECR/ECN workflows, change control boards), organizing and leading critical configuration control forums, and establishing product configuration baselines (EBOM, MBOM, SBOM) in Teamcenter. You will partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain leadership to manage change implementation, impact assessments, and risk mitigation.
The role requires defining and tracking configuration management KPIs (cost of change, cycle time, rework rates, baseline integrity) and owning CM readiness for critical design gate reviews (PDR, CDR, MRR) and FCA/PCA audits. You will champion building an end-to-end digital thread from requirements definition through as-maintained records and develop training programs to drive adoption of CM tools and best practices across Engineering teams.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or relevant field) or equivalent experience, 8+ years of direct product configuration management experience, and 3+ years managing and developing CM teams. Deep knowledge of CM principles, standards (ANSI/EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, CM2), and PLM tools for complex hardware is essential. Demonstrated experience in high-rigor environments (aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices) and proven ability to lead cross-functional change control processes are required. U.S. Person status is required due to export-controlled data access.
Preferred qualifications include Teamcenter experience, aerospace/defense industry background with DoD program exposure, CM2 certification, experience building or scaling CM functions during rapid growth, database/analytics skills (SQL, data visualization), and active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
