REGENT is building Seagliders—wing-in-ground-effect craft that travel just above water, combining airplane speed (180 mph) with boat economics. The company is scaling from prototype to full production and seeking a Senior Manager, Composite Production to lead the entire composite production organization.
In this role, you will own end-to-end composite production performance, including engineering, maintenance, and production teams. You'll hold single-point accountability for quality, yield, equipment uptime, and throughput across these three functions. You'll lead through a management layer of shift leads and supervisors, building and developing that leadership structure as the organization scales. Key responsibilities include:
- Systematizing engineered process fixes into auditable standard work that every technician on every shift can execute consistently
- Running a preventive maintenance program and uptime tracking for composite equipment (autoclaves, ovens, presses, trim and cure systems)
- Building the workforce and training pipeline—establishing structured training paths, certification levels, and skills matrices to take hires from entry-level to certified independent operators
- Implementing quality control at scale through control plans, SPC checks, and non-conformance/corrective-action processes
- Partnering continuously with Advanced Engineering to validate process robustness before floor deployment, treating each build as a shared outcome
You'll be energized by building a production organization from the ground up, developing people at scale, and hands-on manufacturing leadership. You're a creative problem solver who turns one-off fixes into durable systems, comfortable operating in ambiguity while building auditable processes, and genuinely motivated by developing leads and supervisors who can each run a piece of a large production organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience in composite manufacturing, including leading a multi-disciplinary organization spanning manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and/or production at meaningful scale
- Proven track record running production through a layer of leadership (shift leads, supervisors) rather than direct management of every individual
- Demonstrated experience running maintenance and reliability for composite process equipment (autoclaves, ovens, presses, trim and cure systems)
- Experience standing up or growing a production workforce—hiring, org design, and skills development—as volume increased
- Ability to convert engineered process fixes into standardized, trained, sustained production work across large teams
- Working knowledge of prepreg and wet layup, vacuum bagging, cure, trim, and bonding processes; enough depth to direct engineers and audit floor execution
- Fluency with quality and production systems: control plans, SPC, corrective-action processes, MES/MBOM/routing structures, and production metrics
- Bonus experience: leading composite production through prototype-to-rate ramp in aerospace, marine, or automotive; building or scaling maintenance programs for composite equipment; working with automation (ATL/AFP/FPL, robotic trim, CNC); or building dojo-style training curricula for entry-level-to-certified operator progression
