This is a highly visible, hands-on role serving as the single point of accountability for commercial partnerships from deal ideation through contract development, accounting assessment, operational readiness, launch execution, ongoing partner activity, and financial close.
Key responsibilities include:
**Partnership Lifecycle Ownership**: Establish an end-to-end framework for evaluating, structuring, approving, contracting, launching, operating, and closing partnership arrangements. Define clear stage gates, ownership models, approval requirements, and handoffs from deal concept through contract execution and operational delivery. Create visibility into the partnership pipeline, including upcoming launches, key obligations, revenue implications, operational dependencies, and close requirements.
**Contract & Commercial Standards**: Partner with Legal and Partnerships to develop standard contract terms, fallback positions, approval thresholds, and playbooks for recurring partnership structures. Review and advise on provisions impacting Revenue Accounting related to pricing, discounts, fees, minimum commitments, incentives, services, usage, data, fulfillment, returns, termination, and settlement. Translate accounting and operational requirements into clear, enforceable, scalable contract language. Identify exceptions and lead cross-functional assessment and documentation.
**Operational Infrastructure**: Support establishment of repeatable operating models with Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Order-to-Cash, and Product teams for partner onboarding, order flow, billing, invoicing, collections, cash application, settlements, reporting, customer eligibility, fulfillment, and issue resolution. Define operational requirements and controls for new partnership models, including ownership, data inputs, system workflows, reconciliations, exception handling, and reporting. Establish launch-readiness criteria and post-launch monitoring.
**Technical Accounting Review**: Provide revenue accounting requirements and guidance during deal ideation and contract drafting. Analyze complex partnership arrangements under ASC 606, identifying contracts with customers, performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, principal-versus-agent considerations, contract modifications, and revenue recognition timing. Partner with Revenue Technical Accounting team on analyses and documentation for new and non-standard arrangements.
**Accounting Execution & Close**: Own accounting setup and ongoing execution for assigned partnerships, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support month-end and quarter-end close, identifying dependencies, resolving exceptions, and ensuring partnership activity is recorded completely and accurately. Maintain audit-ready documentation and partner with external auditors and SOX stakeholders.
**Cross-Functional Leadership**: Work closely with FP&A on deal approval support. Collaborate with Revenue Operations on quote-to-cash design, system requirements, data quality, reporting, and controls. Maintain strong connectivity with O2C Operations and Revenue Accounting peers. Lead cross-functional working sessions, driving issues to resolution and ensuring commitments are documented and executed.

- CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

- Demonstrated ability to translate commercial objectives into practical contract terms, accounting conclusions, system requirements, operational processes, and controls
- Experience preparing, reviewing, or owning journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, and audit support
- Strong understanding of cross-functional order-to-cash processes including billing, collections, cash application, settlements, and reporting
- Experience partnering with Legal, Partnerships, Product, FP&A, Revenue Operations, and senior business leaders
- Strong project leadership skills with ability to establish structure and drive complex work across teams without relying solely on formal authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical accounting and operational topics to executive and non-finance audiences
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and bias toward building scalable, standardized solutions
**Nice to have**:
