Twilio is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounts Payable to lead and scale its global AP function. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Accounting, you will oversee all aspects of accounts payable operations including vendor disbursements, expense management, credit card reconciliations, and month-end close activities across multiple entities and currencies.
Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a high-performing AP team with clear KPIs and professional development plans; standardizing end-to-end operating procedures and maintaining detailed process documentation; overseeing month-end close including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations, expense accruals, and balance sheet analysis; coordinating internal and external audit requirements; partnering with Procurement, FP&A, Legal, and Tax teams to optimize purchase-to-pay workflows and vendor onboarding; and resolving complex vendor escalations while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 12 years of experience with at least 5 years managing AP managers in a large US multinational; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; strong proficiency in enterprise ERPs such as Oracle, Workday, or Navan; solid hands-on knowledge of US operations, US GAAP, SOX controls, multi-currency disbursements, and international tax compliance; and excellent team management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desired experience includes managing high-volume US vendor portfolios, 1099 compliance and withholding, leading automation or RPA initiatives in a global SaaS environment, and strong knowledge of US and international tax/statutory requirements including GST and TDS. The role is based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi) and is fully remote with occasional travel for team meetings and projects.
