Signifyd is a fraud prevention and commerce protection platform trusted by thousands of merchants across 100+ countries, processing billions of transactions annually. The Machine Learning team builds production ML models and risk management tools that form the core of Signifyd's product offering.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will have end-to-end ownership of the decision-making engine, from research and development through online performance and risk management. You'll work on a collaborative team that values peer review, knowledge-sharing, and collective problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching emerging fraud patterns in real-time with the Risk Intelligence team
- Improving critical components of the Signifyd Commerce Protection Platform
- Building and deploying production machine learning models to identify fraud
- Writing production and offline code in Python and PySpark
- Working with distributed data pipelines and designing experiments
- Communicating complex technical ideas to diverse audiences, including executives
- Collaborating with engineering teams to strengthen the ML pipeline
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable analytical field
- 3+ years of post-undergraduate work experience
- Strong machine learning and statistical background
- Proficiency in Python with code review experience in shared codebases
- Practical SQL knowledge and Linux command-line familiarity
- Ability to design experiments and collect data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Track record of delivering under pressure
Bonus experience includes fraud/payments/e-commerce domain knowledge, distributed data analysis, production-grade code testing practices, or advanced degrees (Master's/PhD).
