Iterable is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build core ML foundations powering Nova, their agentic AI platform. The role focuses on applied machine learning in production: designing retrieval systems, evaluation frameworks, and model integration layers that make AI features reliable, scalable, and repeatable.
Key responsibilities include designing ML platform components for agentic systems (retrieval pipelines, indexing, model integration); operationalizing RAG use cases from data sourcing through runtime retrieval; developing evaluation frameworks for LLM and agent-based features with offline metrics and continuous monitoring; implementing reusable abstractions and tooling for other teams; productionizing ML features with strong reliability and observability; prototyping applied ML solutions; ensuring secure data handling; and collaborating across backend, frontend, and product teams.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years as an ML Engineer focused on production systems, strong Python or TypeScript skills with experience in agent/LLM frameworks like Mastra, background with retrieval systems and vector databases, proven ability integrating ML/LLM features into production, understanding of ML evaluation and experimentation design, and ability to lead complex projects independently. Bonus experience includes building ML/LLM platforms, developer-facing frameworks, embeddings, search-ranking systems, or advanced RAG architectures.
