In this Senior Machine Learning Engineer role, you will design, train, and iterate on ML models that personalize insurance product rankings and improve customer conversion and engagement. You'll own ML solutions end-to-end—from problem formulation and data exploration through model validation and production deployment. Your work will directly impact how millions of users discover and purchase insurance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and training machine learning models for product personalization and ranking
- Identifying ML opportunities, proposing experiments, and building models to drive customer conversion
- Taking full ownership of ML solutions from conception to iteration
- Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders using modern development practices (Git, code reviews, reproducible experimentation)
- Partnering with the Marketing team to develop ML-driven bidding and targeting strategies
You'll need 4+ years of relevant ML experience with a proven track record of building models with measurable business impact. Strong proficiency in Python (numpy, pandas, sklearn) and SQL is essential, along with comfort in production-oriented codebases. You should excel at clarifying ambiguous business problems and translating them into effective ML solutions. A graduate degree in a technical or quantitative discipline is required. Fluency in English and Bulgarian is mandatory.
