In this Senior Machine Learning Engineer role, you will design, train, and iterate on ML models and algorithms that personalize insurance result rankings within the product. You'll identify opportunities for applying machine learning to improve customer conversion and engagement, taking ownership of ML solutions end-to-end from problem formulation and data exploration through model validation and iteration.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and stakeholders using modern development practices (Git, code reviews, reproducible experimentation), and partnering closely with the Marketing team to develop machine-learning-driven bidding and targeting methodologies.
You'll need 4+ years of relevant ML experience with a proven track record of building models with clear business impact. Strong proficiency in Python (numpy, pandas, sklearn) and SQL is essential, along with comfort in production-oriented codebases. You should excel at clarifying ambiguous business problems and translating them into effective ML solutions, with curiosity about data distributions and outliers. A graduate degree in a technical or quantitative discipline is required. Fluency in both English and Bulgarian is mandatory.
