Neo Security is seeking a Senior Low-Level Systems Engineer to join the Sensor team. This role focuses on architecting and owning major development projects across core feature sets, with deep involvement in low-level OS subsystems including file systems, memory management, process management, and networking across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. Key responsibilities include driving end-to-end feature ownership for critical sensor components, from architectural design through deployment; tackling large-scale stability and performance optimization using agentic coding tools to navigate unfamiliar OS APIs; and collaborating across teams to build internal tooling, test infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines that enhance codebase maintainability and developer velocity. The role emphasizes systems programming in Rust with a strong focus on AI-assisted development as a core part of the development lifecycle. You will work across OS internals, AI tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and reverse engineering. The position requires in-depth knowledge of OS internals, strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, hands-on mastery of agentic coding workflows (context management, prompt steering, code verification), and team leadership capabilities to mentor peers and drive collaborative outcomes. Bonus qualifications include advanced understanding of core system architecture and sub-system mechanics, demonstrated ability to architect highly scalable and performant systems, and experience with Windows security concepts and macOS endpoint security frameworks. The role prioritizes solid fundamentals, technical curiosity, and proficiency in AI-assisted development, with rigorous standards for code quality, design integrity, and comprehensive testing.
