In this Senior LNG Market Analyst role, you will be a key member of the analytics team responsible for maintaining the integrity and coverage of Kpler's LNG platform. Your primary focus will be ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across cargo datasets and emerging sectors like LNG bunkering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor the Kpler LNG platform daily to maintain highest standards of data accuracy and coverage
- Structure, audit, and analyze large, disparate, or unstructured trade datasets to track global energy flows and identify emerging market trends
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to convert market observations into technical improvements and product enhancements
- Conduct technical product demonstrations with global Sales teams to help clients extract strategic value from Kpler solutions
- Track key developments across global gas markets, including infrastructure outages, trade rerouting, and maintenance events
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal News and Insight teams while building industry networks to anticipate client needs
You will work at the intersection of market expertise and technical capability, translating complex energy market dynamics into actionable data insights and product improvements.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Market Analyst (or similar role) focused on Gas or LNG markets; additional experience in broader energy commodities is advantageous
- Strong technical proficiency in advanced Excel, with practical knowledge of SQL and programming/scripting languages (Python or VBA)
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing large, complex, and unstructured datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
- Experience presenting data findings, platform features, or market insights to external clients and commercial stakeholders
- Strong logical thinking with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, passionate about owning responsibilities and upholding data accuracy and agility
