Parallel Domain builds a platform for validating autonomous systems and physical AI in high-fidelity virtual environments before real-world deployment. The rendering pipeline is critical to the platform's credibility—it must produce physically defensible, reproducible output optimized for machine perception rather than human viewing, while maintaining the performance needed to keep customer autonomy stacks responsive. You'll join a small, specialized graphics team as a Senior Linux Graphics Engineer in a senior individual contributor role. Your primary charter is leading a substantial Linux and Vulkan migration of the renderer, owning the work end-to-end from early prototyping through production-quality deployment. This is a complex, high-impact project that will establish the technical foundation for the team's next phase. Beyond the migration, you'll be a core member of the graphics team tackling the harder problems in the rendering pipeline: wide-angle rendering, scene reconstruction, lighting optimization, and GPU performance tuning. You'll work alongside other rendering engineers on a stack rooted in real-time game engine technology, scaled to run in the cloud. The role requires deep expertise in Linux systems, Vulkan graphics APIs, and real-time rendering. You should be comfortable owning substantial technical projects, collaborating with a small team of specialists, and balancing innovation in graphics techniques with the practical demands of cloud-scale deployment and machine-perception workloads.
