Salary: GBP 73,500 - 99,500 / annual

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Linux Distribution & Validation Engineer to build and maintain the Linux distribution foundation that powers Graphcore's AI systems. You will work on creating production-ready system images from proven upstream distributions, shaping how releases are built, validated, and prepared for deployment. Key responsibilities include: - Building and improving automated pipelines for Linux distribution builds and validation - Running established Linux test suites and diagnosing issues across build and validation flows - Introducing controlled configuration and tuning changes with evidence-led validation as the platform evolves - Strengthening the engineering path from upstream Linux software to dependable platform releases - Defining reliable processes for a new team building a critical part of Graphcore's platform You will join one of Graphcore's newest engineering teams, a small co-located group where ownership matters and progress is visible. The team operates through close technical discussion, practical problem-solving, and evidence-led decisions. You will report to a leader who values technical credibility and invests in people's growth. This is hands-on systems engineering with visible impact on a critical infrastructure component. The role offers the opportunity to shape team culture from the start and work on infrastructure that directly enables Graphcore's AI acceleration platform.
