onX is a high-growth tech company building products to help people confidently explore the outdoors. The company operates across four verticals—Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Fish—and is expanding its user acquisition through strategic partnerships with automotive companies like Ford and Toyota. You will own the lifecycle strategy and experience for users acquired through onX's partner channels. This is a build opportunity within the Growth Lifecycle Marketing team, where partner-sourced users arrive with different context, intent, and expectations than organic users. You'll develop comprehensive lifecycle strategies spanning activation, onboarding, engagement, and conversion, then execute them across email, push, and in-app channels using Braze. Key responsibilities include: **Strategy & Planning**: Develop and own the lifecycle roadmap for partner-sourced users across all four verticals. Partner with the Partnerships team and vertical business leaders to translate partner agreements and customer behavior into measurable programs. Build segmentation and personalization strategies that reflect differences by partner, entitlement, behavior, and intent. **Execution & Optimization**: Design, build, QA, and deploy lifecycle journeys in Braze. Use customer behavior and performance data from tools like Amplitude to identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, design rigorous A/B and holdout tests, and measure impact. Apply AI thoughtfully throughout your workflow—from insight and ideation through content development, execution, and analysis—to increase speed and quality while maintaining sound judgment. **Cross-Functional Leadership**: Drive initiatives forward across Partnerships, vertical marketing teams, Growth Product, creative, analytics, legal, and other stakeholders. Navigate differing perspectives and priorities while maintaining momentum and a high bar for customer experience and business outcomes. Translate strategy, experimentation, and performance into clear communication for internal stakeholders and external partners. **Scalability**: Turn successful experiments and programs into repeatable playbooks that enable faster partner launches and help proven approaches scale across verticals. Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle workflows and tools as the partner ecosystem grows. The role reports to the Director of Growth Lifecycle Marketing and operates with high end-to-end ownership. You'll be strategic and hands-on—moving work forward independently while partnering with teams across onX where their expertise is needed. The team moves quickly, experiments often, and stays close to both customer experience and business results. onX is a distributed company with 400+ employees across the U.S. Physical offices are in Bozeman and Missoula, MT, with virtual Basecamps in Austin, Denver, Kalispell, Minneapolis, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. The company has a strong preference for candidates living near offices or within Basecamps but will consider candidates elsewhere in the U.S. (with state employment restrictions noted in the posting). Quarterly travel to corporate offices or Basecamps is required. **Requirements**: - 7+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, ideally in consumer subscription or mobile app businesses - Deep lifecycle marketing experience across activation, onboarding, engagement, conversion, and retention with demonstrated end-to-end ownership - Experience managing lifecycle programs across multiple products or business lines, adapting strategies to different customer needs and priorities - Strong analytical fluency; ability to independently explore customer behavior and performance data using Amplitude or similar tools and turn insights into actionable recommendations - Strong experimentation and measurement mindset; experience developing hypotheses, designing A/B and holdout tests, interpreting results, and using learnings to inform next steps - Proficiency with Braze or comparable lifecycle marketing platform, including automated behavior-based journeys, segmentation, personalization, and triggering logic - Strong AI fluency; ability to use AI effectively across your workflow, build repeatable AI-enabled ways of working, and apply sound judgment to improve speed, quality, and scale - Demonstrated success in complex, cross-functional environments; ability to build alignment across teams with different goals while keeping work moving - Strong organization and project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with high ownership - Permanent US work authorization required - Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to corporate office or onX strategic location **Bonus qualifications**: - Experience marketing through partner, co-marketing, or channel relationships - Experience using in-app messaging to influence customer behavior while balancing marketing and product experience - Experience launching or scaling lifecycle programs for new partners, channels, audiences, or business areas - Experience with subscription, freemium, membership, or entitlement-based business models - Experience prototyping or implementing advanced AI use cases for lifecycle marketing (agentic workflows, custom automations, scaled personalization, AI-assisted experimentation) - SQL or BigQuery experience for deeper self-service analysis - Liquid templating or similar tools for dynamic personalization - Personal passion for hunting, off-roading, backcountry recreation, or fishing
