Payhawk is an AI-powered spend management platform serving finance teams across 32+ countries. The platform unifies corporate cards, expense management, procurement, and accounts payable, with AI as core infrastructure. The company is Bulgaria's first unicorn and operates as a high-performance team culture. As Payhawk's first lifecycle marketing hire, you will build email and lifecycle campaigns from zero into a strategic channel for nurturing prospects and retaining customers. This is a senior individual-contributor role reporting to the VP Growth Marketing, with explicit plans to build and manage a team within 12 to 18 months. Key responsibilities: - Build and run renewal and retention campaigns to protect and grow the existing customer base - Launch and manage lead-nurture tracks for prospects not yet sales-ready - Launch and manage opportunity-nurture tracks to expand deal scope and increase win rates - Expand into upsell, expansion, win-back, reactivation campaigns, and customer advocacy programs (case studies, referrals, NPS) - Align campaigns with regional pipeline and retention targets, working directly with regional marketing leads - Partner with marketing operations to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all campaigns - Own all external customer email communications, managing overall flow and sending while Support and Product Marketing maintain their own service and product updates You will be the first and only person in this role, building with no existing playbook or team to inherit. This requires comfort with ambiguity, strong cross-functional collaboration with regional marketing, ABM, partnerships, and marketing operations teams, and a data-driven approach using retention and expansion metrics (NRR, GRR, churn) to guide strategy. Benefits include 30 days paid holiday, week-long office exchanges to London, Amsterdam, Paris, Munich, Vilnius, Berlin, Sofia, or Barcelona, team events, additional medical care, fully funded sports/gym card, monthly travel allowance, and hands-on access to the product. Requirements: - Senior lifecycle marketing experience in B2B SaaS with hands-on experience building nurture, onboarding, retention, or win-back programs from scratch - Deep, hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms end-to-end, including segmentation, journey and workflow building, and reporting (not just template design) - Comfort being the first and only person in the role, building with no existing playbook or team to inherit - Strong cross-functional collaboration skills - Track record of using retention and expansion metrics (NRR, GRR, churn) to guide campaign strategy, not just vanity metrics like open and click rates - Nice-to-have: Experience building these programs from scratch more than once
