Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering internal platforms. This is a hands-on role focused on full-stack development with emphasis on Java backend services using Spring Boot and similar frameworks.
Key responsibilities include designing and building Java-based backend services, developing scalable and well-tested services that integrate with Salesforce and other systems, and participating in architecture discussions for APIs and distributed systems. You will write high-quality, maintainable code with strong test coverage, troubleshoot complex issues across services and integrations, and contribute to internal web applications backed by Java services.
A significant portion of the role involves building and maintaining integrations between Java services and Salesforce using REST APIs, events, or middleware. You will contribute to Salesforce development when needed, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and platform configuration, while partnering with Salesforce engineers to ensure scalable integration patterns and data integrity.
You will collaborate with frontend and full-stack engineers to support internal tools used by Operations, Support, Marketing, Risk, and Data teams. Working closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and cross-functional partners, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role includes participation in sprint planning, agile delivery, and communicating technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will follow engineering best practices including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, observability, and documentation. A key focus is improving platform reliability, performance, monitoring, and long-term maintainability by addressing technical debt and enhancing operational excellence.
