As a Senior Warehouse IT Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive IT infrastructure and systems across warehouse operations. This is a hands-on technical role requiring both strategic infrastructure planning and day-to-day operational support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide Tier 2 IT support for warehouse operations including networks, desktops, laptops, servers, badge/alarm systems, barcode and Wi-Fi printers, scanners, touch screens, PDAs, and UPS systems
- Manage IT equipment inventory, assets, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) user access privileges
- Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly IT and warehouse inspections
- Inspect, audit, maintain, and repair/replace all IT equipment to ensure optimal working condition
- Design, document, deploy, install, maintain, and support IT infrastructure including WAN/LAN networks, access points, MDF/IDF, video conferencing systems, SAN/NAS, surveillance systems, security cameras, and warehouse system-related servers, storage, and applications
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
- Create and design complex floor plans and elevation diagrams for building, MDF/IDF, and IT infrastructure
- Create complex project plans for IT infrastructure and buildouts
- Develop standardized IT warehouse processes and operational procedures
- Write SOPs and user manuals; provide IT training to end users
- Participate in local implementation of headquarters projects as needed
Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM (flexible based on business needs), with on-call coverage Monday–Friday 5 PM–9 AM and Saturday–Sunday 9 AM–9 PM.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in IT and networking
- Excellent network skills, including managing IT server rooms and network switches/firewalls
- Excellent computer troubleshooting skills (Windows, Mac OS)
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience implementing and maintaining security camera systems and badge systems
- Nimble and patient with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Warehouse-related IT support experience preferred
- CCNP or equivalent certification
