As Senior IT Operations Engineer reporting to the IT Operations lead, you will own complex IT Operations projects end-to-end across the company, serving as the escalation point for issues beyond first-level support. Your responsibilities include:
- Owning company-wide IT Operations projects from scope through delivery, with clear milestones, risk management, and stakeholder alignment
- Serving as the escalation point for complex issues spanning endpoints, identity, SaaS, and security
- Designing scalable processes for onboarding, offboarding, device management, patching, and asset tracking as the company grows
- Identifying root causes of recurring issues using service and project metrics, implementing preventive solutions rather than repeated fixes
- Embedding security best practices into all operations—device management, access control, and tool maintenance
- Automating manual, repetitive processes to free up team capacity for higher-impact work
- Managing office networks, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internal infrastructure reliability and security
- Evaluating and selecting IT tools and vendors through requirements scoping, proof-of-concept testing, and post-implementation service reviews
You will work in a fast-growing, cross-functional environment where no two days are alike. You'll collaborate with teams across the company as an equal, driving adoption of changes among people who don't report to you. The role requires comfort with ambiguity, willingness to tackle both strategic and tactical work, and genuine customer obsession focused on real company impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience owning IT Operations projects end-to-end in fast-growing, cross-functional companies
- Hands-on expertise with Jamf and Google Workspace; comfortable across a modern SaaS stack
- Experience owning and managing an MDM instance, not just using one
- Strong engineering mindset: equally comfortable debugging technical issues and planning solutions
- Ability to move fluidly between technical and non-technical teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive change adoption
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle tasks at any level
- Genuine initiative, positive attitude, and customer obsession
