Mythic is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Lead to provide full-time, on-site IT support for its Bangalore VLSI design center. This is a hands-on senior role covering end-user computing (Windows/Mac/Linux), enterprise networking, and server and cloud infrastructure, working as part of the broader Mythic IT function.
You will own day-to-day IT operations for the design center and serve as the local point of contact for all IT matters. Key responsibilities include:
• End-User Computing: Maintain and troubleshoot Windows, Mac, and Linux laptops/desktops; manage the full hardware lifecycle including procurement, imaging, patching, warranty, and asset tracking; standardize OS images and security configurations across all platforms.
• Identity & Security Administration: Administer global identity and access standards locally (SSO, MFA); operate unified endpoint management and disk encryption; execute onboarding/offboarding processes; produce evidence for security assessments.
• Networking & Security: Configure and maintain networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls); manage site-to-site VPN connectivity; administer firewall rules and access policies; monitor network performance.
• Linux Server & Cloud Infrastructure: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers supporting design workloads; own the local remote desktop and virtual workstation experience; provision and manage cloud resources; perform server administration including user management, storage, backups, and performance tuning.
• Containers & Automation: Build, run, and maintain container images and container-based CI environments; troubleshoot containerized workloads; use scripting and configuration management to automate routine administration.
• EDA Tool Support (Good to Have): Assist with installation, configuration, and licensing of EDA tools; support license server troubleshooting; coordinate with design teams and vendors.
You will coordinate closely with Mythic HQ IT on standards, security, infrastructure, and tools, following global IT policies and architecture. You will manage local vendor relationships for hardware, software, networking, and EDA licensing, and support any additional India-based IT resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field
• 8–10 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior/lead capacity
• Strong hands-on expertise across Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop support
• Solid Linux server administration skills (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, security hardening) across major distribution families
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containers, including building and maintaining images and running container-based build or CI environments
• Working knowledge of networking: VPN, firewalls, switches, routing, VLANs
• Experience administering an enterprise identity provider (SSO and MFA) and an MDM or unified endpoint management platform
• Exposure to cloud platforms for compute provisioning
• Experience supporting remote desktop or virtual workstation environments for technical users
• Proven ability to run on-site IT operations for a site/center while working within a central/global IT team, including vendor and stakeholder management
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with global (US) teams across time zones
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and process-orientation
GOOD TO HAVE:
• Experience with EDA tool installation and license management
• Familiarity with compute farm/job scheduler tools
• Certifications such as CCNA, RHCE, Apple Certified support, or cloud certifications
• Experience supporting semiconductor/VLSI design flows
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation
