Beacon Software is seeking a Senior Corporate Engineer to help build and operate the systems that power the company. You'll work alongside a Staff Corporate Engineer on a small, hands-on team, owning well-scoped pieces of the infrastructure stack end-to-end.
Key responsibilities include building and operating core systems across identity management, endpoint security, access control, networking, corporate security, and the SaaS layer that runs the business. You'll own the day-to-day operation of the tools you build, including access reviews, lifecycle management, patching, and the operational work that keeps systems reliable and secure. The role emphasizes using the right tool for each problem—leveraging automation, AI tooling, and modern infrastructure rather than defaulting to manual processes. You'll also document your work through runbooks and architecture decision records that enable future team members to move faster.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in corporate engineering, IT, systems, or related infrastructure roles. You should have solid working knowledge of identity systems (SSO, SCIM, MFA) with a genuine appetite to deepen your expertise in modern access architecture. Hands-on experience with MDM, endpoint security, or device lifecycle management (macOS primary, Windows secondary) is required. You're comfortable working in a terminal and willing to script, though you don't need to be a software engineer. The role values curiosity, problem-solving ability, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias for action.
Bonus qualifications include M&A or multi-entity integration experience, familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX ITGC), and experience with AI-native workflows in real work contexts. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure professional who wants to build directly rather than manage tickets in a large, layered organization.
