Rebtel is a profitable, 20-year-old fintech company that helps migrants call and send money home affordably. You'll join a small, empowered iOS team of three engineers to modernize and evolve the Rebtel iOS app serving millions of users globally.
You'll drive the technical modernization from legacy Objective-C toward a modern Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine stack, while shifting the architecture from VIPER to MVVM-C. This is hands-on work: building new features, refactoring legacy code, paying down tech debt, and making architectural decisions that directly impact the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the migration from Objective-C to modern Swift + SwiftUI
- Refactor and improve code quality; proactively address tech debt
- Build and ship iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine
- Contribute to architecture decisions and platform improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Android, Web, Product, and Design teams
- Ship to the App Store and monitor post-release performance
- Improve tooling, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain overall iOS platform health
You'll need 5+ years of iOS development experience, proficiency in Swift/SwiftUI/Combine, and comfort maintaining legacy Objective-C. You should have shipped production apps, understand iOS architecture patterns, and be comfortable working independently. Experience with REST/GraphQL, unit testing, code review, and AI coding tools is expected. Nice-to-haves include large product experience, mobile CI/CD expertise, and audio/telecom background.
