Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling users to trade on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. The platform aggregated $21B in trading volume in 2025 and is positioned as an alternative news source reflecting collective expectations about future events. The Global Intelligence & Investigations team, housed within Legal, protects Polymarket, its customers, and reputation by detecting, investigating, and neutralizing threats including market manipulation and coordinated evasion. The team operates a mature, in-house intelligence-fusion platform purpose-built for this work. As Senior Intelligence Systems Engineer, you will own the architecture and long-term direction of the intelligence-fusion platform, making technical decisions that shape the system's evolution. You'll design detection and correlation approaches that anticipate how manipulation and evasion tactics evolve, rather than simply codifying patterns already observed. You'll ingest new on-chain and OSINT data sources, extract additional signal from existing pipelines, and identify value in currently unused sources. You'll build automation that closes gaps between signal detection and case assignment, eliminating manual steps that slow investigators. You'll work directly with analysts and investigators to translate their domain instincts and manual workflows into repeatable, auditable tooling that withstands legal and audit scrutiny. Required: ownership mindset with multi-year track record owning complex data systems end-to-end; senior data or detection engineering experience at scale with deep SQL, Python, data pipelines, and both scheduled and event-driven systems; hands-on expertise in data fusion and entity resolution, including handling heterogeneous inputs, resolving to shared entity models, and careful scoring/corroboration; comfort translating investigator domain instinct into technical capability; genuine interest in market integrity and fraud detection. Preferred: prior experience with fraud, trust and safety, or investigations teams; exposure to on-chain or crypto data analysis, blockchain transaction data, wallet clustering.
