Heidi Health is an AI Care Partner platform that works alongside clinicians to improve healthcare delivery. The company has grown to support 2+ million patient visits weekly across 116 countries, backed by nearly $100M in funding and partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
As a Senior Integrations Engineer, you will own the stability and scale of Heidi's most strategic enterprise accounts, starting with Beth Israel Lahey Health and Franciscan Health. This is a largely independent role reporting to the NA Regional Integration Team Lead, working alongside three existing integrations engineers managing 10+ active initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning account health for strategic enterprise customers, building and maintaining dashboards to track integration performance
- Responding to session-loss and integration incidents with a sub-2-hour initial response target, helping define realistic SLAs across severity levels
- Identifying recurring failure patterns and driving architectural improvements to fix root causes rather than applying surface-level patches
- Building systems that integrate seamlessly with EHRs (electronic health records) that power American healthcare, ensuring integrations feel native rather than bolted-on
- Translating clinical and billing complexity—payer constraints, compliance requirements, health-system-specific rules—into systems that absorb this complexity so clinicians never see it
- Writing clean, testable, observable code for workflows that clinicians, operators, and downstream systems depend on
- Shipping agentic workflow functionality including AI-assisted extraction, reconciliation, and drafting with human review, auditability, and clear controls
- Partnering closely with GTM and Enterprise account teams during US Eastern business hours to provide real-time coverage for largest customers
- Operating independently while coordinating with the NA Regional Integration Team Lead on roadmap, prioritization, and cross-initiative dependencies
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of owning complex, production-critical systems end-to-end
- Direct experience with enterprise integrations and ideally EHR or healthcare-adjacent systems
- Sound engineering judgment with ability to make sensible trade-offs, scope clearly, and raise quality through testing and thoughtful design
- Genuine ownership and follow-through; takes responsibility for commitments and communicates early when priorities shift
- Collaborative operator comfortable working alongside GTM and account teams, not just engineers
- Full availability during US Eastern business hours (hard requirement for real-time customer coverage)
- Fluency with modern AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigor around correctness and validation
The role is fully remote with a requirement to work US Eastern business hours. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision coverage, 401k with 3% match, $500 annual professional development budget, and equity in the company.
