As Senior Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer, you will own the platform engineering foundation that powers Stuut's product. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports, focused on transforming organically-grown infrastructure into reproducible, secure, observable and cost-efficient systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Migrate all infrastructure to version-controlled, reviewed code (IaC), including hand-built resources. Design safe, auditable change-to-apply workflows.
- Architect and operate multi-cloud networking: address planning, private connectivity, secure engineer access to private resources.
- Operate production Kubernetes clusters and the CI/CD delivery pipeline: cluster management, secrets, preview environments, build performance optimization.
- Own observability end-to-end: meaningful alerts, cost-effective telemetry, trustworthy dashboards.
- Drive security and compliance initiatives to closure with audit-worthy evidence.
- Operate mission-critical production databases: patching, failover, auditing, replication.
- Lead infrastructure response during incidents and forensic investigations.
This is a small team with wide scope and real autonomy. You'll have broad access and the judgment to make architectural decisions independently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE or platform engineering, owning production systems end-to-end.
- Led infrastructure-as-code adoption or cleanup in an existing environment, including imports, drift and state problems.
- Hands-on experience running production Kubernetes and multi-account cloud environments.
- Designed and debugged non-trivial cloud networks (peering, transit, VPN, overlapping ranges, private access).
- Operated mission-critical relational databases in production.
- Built or rebuilt an observability stack and brought its cost under control.
- Closed real security and compliance findings (SOC 2 or similar) with audit-worthy evidence.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Fintech or regulated-industry experience.
- Supporting enterprise or customer-hosted deployments.
- Cost optimization at scale.
