Capacity is an AI-powered support automation platform that helps teams automate support and business processes across omni-channel environments. The company has raised over $100M from 150+ investors and serves enterprise SaaS customers looking to grow revenue, reduce costs, and improve customer and employee satisfaction.
You will be the senior hands-on infrastructure engineer responsible for the cloud foundation that powers Capacity's platform. In this role, you'll build and evolve the AWS infrastructure, operate Kubernetes clusters, author infrastructure-as-code (IaC) that provisions and governs environments, design network architecture, and manage cloud costs as the company scales across acquired platforms.
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, you'll set the technical bar for how infrastructure is defined, reviewed, and versioned. You own the "what exists" layer and partner with DevOps teams at the boundary where IaC gets executed, and with SRE teams where the platform is observed and kept reliable. As the senior individual contributor on the team, you'll mentor other infrastructure engineers and lead design work on larger platform initiatives.
Key responsibilities include building and evolving Capacity's cloud platform on AWS (compute, storage, database systems like Aurora/MariaDB on RDS), managing Kubernetes cluster operations, writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code, designing network architecture, optimizing cloud costs, and leading technical design on major platform projects. You'll work across multiple acquired platforms and ensure infrastructure scales reliably.
