Salary: USD 134,000 - 167,500 / annual
Zscaler is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join the Enterprise Security team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Security. This is a remote (US-based) role focused on data protection operations.
In this position, you will be responsible for protecting corporate data through the implementation and operationalization of security tools, with a primary focus on data loss prevention (DLP). You will work to continuously improve alert fidelity and strengthen overall security outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and providing tuning recommendations for data loss prevention solutions
- Performing periodic reviews of the data protection program with recommendations for improvement
- Maintaining strong relationships with business partners to understand where sensitive data resides and what controls can be deployed to protect it
- Reviewing DLP alerts, reducing false positives, and transitioning controls to blocking state with minimal business impact
- Deploying monitoring functionality and controls across various data stores, including cloud and SaaS environments

REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- Experience with a variety of data loss prevention tools, focusing on various exfiltration avenues (web, endpoint, email)
- Proven working knowledge of reviewing DLP alerts, reducing false positives, and moving controls to blocking state with minimal business impact
- Understanding of various data stores, including cloud and SaaS, to deploy monitoring functionality and controls
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Zscaler security tools, particularly ZIA and DSPM
- Automation skills to help with data processing and tuning opportunities
