DistillerSR is an AI-enabled workflow automation and evidence management platform for scientific research, used by 80% of the top 10 global medical device and pharmaceutical companies. The company is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and serve as a key generalist supporting all stages of the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities span four areas: **Recruitment & Talent:** Lead end-to-end resourcing including needs analysis, sourcing, screening, and onboarding. Build and maintain a talent pipeline, manage campus and post-secondary liaisons for co-op programs, and own the talent component of employee onboarding. **People & Culture:** Handle employee questions, feedback, and concerns with empathy, escalating as needed. Support the strategic Employee Experience & Culture Committee, participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee, and contribute to employee engagement initiatives. **HR Operations & Compliance:** Champion AI-enabled talent tools and processes, administer BambooHR, lead onboarding and offboarding, maintain HR policies for compliance with employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code), and stay current on evolving talent best practices and legal requirements. **Trusted Advisor & Compensation:** Build the talent brand as a business partner, support performance management and career development, analyze HR data for decision-making, and conduct salary analysis and market research to support recruitment and annual compensation reviews. The role offers flexible work hours, benefits from day one, three weeks vacation, wellness reimbursement, professional development support, and career growth opportunities in a dynamic, innovative environment at Kanata North Tech Park. **Requirements:** - College or University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or Business - Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a start-up/scale-up or fast-moving environment - Tech savvy with quick ability to learn new software - Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills - Demonstrated success building strong relationships with diverse teams - High proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office - Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills with attention to detail - Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act 2000 (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and Human Rights Code - Completion of JHSC certification or willingness to become certified - Experience with an HRIS system as a backend user/administrator - Experience supporting compensation processes or willingness to learn - CHRP certification or in progress
