Salary: USD 121,000 - 151,000 / annual
Justworks is seeking a Senior HR Consultant to serve customers directly and support the company's HR consulting strategy. In this role, you will provide strategic HR guidance to assigned customers, including strategic assessments, handbook reviews, compliance guidance, and program development. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your customer portfolio, educating them on HR best practices and developing creative solutions to complex HR challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering strategic HR guidance and action plans to customers
- Coaching and mentoring junior HR Consultants and providing quality assurance feedback
- Creating HR-related content, tools, and experiences for internal and external use
- Managing longer-term projects such as compliance newsletters and customer webinars
- Partnering with Legal, Product, and Revenue teams on employment legislation and customer impact
- Translating complex compliance and HR concepts into simple, user-friendly language
- Balancing customer-facing interactions with deliverable work
- Collaborating on team efficiency improvements, including AI tool integration

Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Employee Relations Manager
- Experience handling compliance across multiple US states
- At least one HR certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP (if not currently certified, must obtain within first six months; Justworks provides financial support)
- Nice to have: experience in tech, consulting, SaaS, and/or PEO environments; global HR experience; fluency in additional languages, especially Spanish
