Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Cyber business line is a new division focused on offensive cyber mission capabilities, leveraging Anduril's fleet of autonomous vehicles, Lattice OS, mesh networks, and hardware products to deploy cyber operations in unconventional or difficult-to-reach environments.
This Hardware Test Engineer role sits within Anduril Cyber and focuses on test design, automated validation, and system integration across software, hardware, and RF lab environments. The engineer will be responsible for translating complex requirements into repeatable, traceable evidence and scaling regression coverage for increasingly sophisticated integrated systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing test approaches, fixtures, harnesses, and automated validation workflows for hardware/software systems in lab and pre-field settings
- Building requirement-traceable test coverage spanning functional validation, regression, qualification, and environmental readiness
- Developing Python, Bash, Robot Framework, or equivalent automation to configure systems, drive test equipment, collect evidence, and flag regressions
- Operating RF test equipment, networking infrastructure, and system-control surfaces to validate integrated end-to-end behavior
- Partnering with software, FPGA, DSP, hardware, and systems engineers to reproduce issues, isolate failures, and improve release confidence
- Establishing disciplined test plans, defect triage loops, and evidence packages supporting productization and field readiness
Required qualifications include strong experience in automated test and validation using Python, Bash, or Robot Framework; CI/CD-backed regression systems (preferably GitLab CI/CD); hands-on familiarity with RF and hardware test equipment (signal generators, analyzers, switch matrices, power systems, environmental chambers); ability to translate requirements into concrete test procedures and coverage maps; comfort with Linux systems, networking, and hardware interfaces; strong defect-triage instincts; and excellent organizational skills in evidence capture and traceability.
Preferred qualifications include experience with qualification testing or environmental testing in defense/aerospace domains; background leading or coordinating small validation teams; familiarity with lab automation spanning software control and physical instrumentation; experience supporting field events or acceptance testing; and working knowledge of mixed hardware/software/RF systems.
