Saronic Technologies, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Austin, TX, is a leader in autonomous surface vessels (ASVs) for maritime defense. This Senior Growth Manager role owns the Navy growth portfolio, identifying and shaping new opportunities across the Navy enterprise while building durable relationships with OPNAV, systems commands, Program Acquisition Executive offices, and operating forces.
Key responsibilities include Navy demand generation—identifying and engaging key Navy stakeholders to build awareness and pull for ASV solutions, converting Navy interest into funded requirements. You will build and own the Navy pipeline, tracking opportunities from early shaping through award, maintaining call plans against key stakeholders, and creating compelling capability materials tailored to Navy mission problems.
Relationship building is central: cultivate and maintain strong relationships across the Navy customer set, partners, primes, and industry stakeholders. Represent Saronic at Navy and maritime industry events to build a robust network and identify business opportunities.
You will collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored proposals and presentations, lead contract negotiations aligned with strategic goals, and track Navy budget cycles, POM priorities, force design initiatives, and unmanned surface vessel programs of record. Use market intelligence to guide capture strategy and product roadmap decisions.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, or related field (MBA or Master's preferred). 8+ years of combined experience in Navy or DoD business development, program management, or active-duty naval service with demonstrable success capturing or executing Navy contracts. Substantive experience in Navy organizations such as OPNAV, NAVSEA, Navy PAE program offices, SMWDC, NAVWAR, Navy Numbered Fleets, or USVRONs with established relationships. Working knowledge of naval mission domains and how Navy unmanned systems are employed. Deep familiarity with Navy acquisition pathways, PPBE and POM resourcing cycles, program office structures, operational requirements development, and DoD regulations. Demonstrated ability to shape and lead complex captures end-to-end. Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance; active Secret clearance required, Top Secret/SCI eligibility preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and willingness to travel as needed.
